When I was a little kid, I wanted to become a teacher because my mom was a teacher and I also admired my teachers in my preschool and primary school years. They were very nice and also knowledgeable. As I was growing up, I learned about the different careers that I could possibly get after college. During my teen years, I said to myself that I didn’t want to be a teacher anymore, but instead, I wanted to be a doctor or business administrator. After senior high school, I had to choose which course to enroll in, which would help me get in the field of work that I was aiming for. So between being a doctor and business administrator, I decided to go for the latter since we couldn’t afford medical school.

I successfully finished my degree, but it wasn’t easy to land a job. As a new graduate with no experience, I got a job at an office as a clerk. I did everything from making coffees to preparing documents. I was thankful that at least, I was able to land a job that would jumpstart my career. It may be a low position, but I was thinking I would work my way up. The problem was, it wasn’t paying the bills. It wasn’t enough for my apartment rental and for my everyday needs so I really had to tighten my budget.

One time, I had the chance to talk to one of the colleagues of my employers at one of our company’s parties. My outfit and accessories caught her attention, and she approached me and asked me where I got them. I told her that I purchased them online and that I loved fashion and shopping. She then offered me a job to be her personal shopper. I was surprised because I thought the work was a bit unusual and was even more surprised, well, pleasantly surprised that is, when she told me how much I could earn! It was a part time job, yet it was more than what I earned as an office clerk. So I gave it a go and that’s where my life changed.

She introduced me to her other colleagues and I gained new clients. I decided to quit my job as an office clerk and focused on being a personal shopper. I realized this was something that I was really good at and I really enjoyed shopping for them since it was really my thing. Now, I’m financially stable and I’m loving my job.

If you are looking for a high paying job, I suggest that you also consider to add as your options the unusual jobs that many people may have not thought of getting, because you would be surprised they too could actually earn you big income. Like me, I never thought I would be paid really well as a personal shopper.
